England’s Packed 2025 Cricket Schedule: West Indies, India, Zimbabwe, and South Africa to Tour
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed a busy 2025 season for England’s Men’s and Women’s cricket teams. The upcoming season, running from April to September, will see exciting matches in both red-ball and white-ball formats against strong opponents.
Richard Gould, ECB’s Chief Executive Officer, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, highlighting that both the Men’s and Women’s teams will face the same opponents. He mentioned that this approach has been well-received by fans and has boosted the popularity of women’s cricket. Gould is particularly excited about England hosting West Indies and India next year in a similar format.
Looking ahead, Gould also announced that England Women will play their first-ever Test match at Lord’s against India Women in 2026. He described this as a historic and significant event.
England Women will begin their 2025 home season with a three-match T20 series against West Indies from May 21 to May 26, followed by three ODIs from May 30 to June 7. They will then face India in a five-match T20 series starting June 28, followed by a three-game ODI series, which will be crucial preparation for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
On the Men’s side, England will host West Indies and India for both white-ball and red-ball series. Zimbabwe and South Africa will also tour England. Zimbabwe will play their first Test match in England since 2003 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. England Men will then compete against West Indies in a six-match white-ball series, consisting of three T20 and three ODIs from May 30 to June 10India Men’s team will return to England for a thrilling five-match Test series. The last Test series between these two sides in England ended in a 2-2 draw, and this series promises to be equally exciting.
