India, who won the first ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup by defeating England, will face Malaysia, West Indies, and Sri Lanka in Group A of the second edition of the tournament. This event will take place from January 18 to February 2, 2025.
In Group B, England will compete with Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA.
Group C will feature South Africa, New Zealand, Samoa (a new team), and one qualifier from Africa. Group D includes Australia, Bangladesh, Scotland, and one qualifier from Asia.
Each team will play against every other team in their group, resulting in three matches per team during the group stage.
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage. Teams that finish last in Groups A and D, as well as B and C, will play a last-place play-off on January 24.
In the Super Six stage, the 12 teams will be divided into two groups. Group 1 will consist of the top three teams from Groups A and D, while Group 2 will be made up of the top three teams from Groups B and C.
Teams will carry forward their points, wins, and net run rates from the group stage. Each team will play two matches in the Super Six, against teams from the corresponding group that finished in different positions. For example, the top team from Group A will play against the second and third teams from Group D.
The top two teams from each Super Six group will move on to the semi-finals, scheduled for January 31, with the final on February 2, 2025. All semi-finals and the final will be held at Bayuemas Oval. If India reaches the semi-finals, they will play in Semi-Final 2 on January 31 at 2:30 PM local time.
